Supervisor Distribution Center - 1st shift

• The Supervisor of the Micro Center Phillipi Rd. Distribution Center will lead a team of individuals to enable them to achieve performance and quality standards. Duties include:

  • Supervise several departments and ensure they meet productivity standards.
  • Organize and maintain accurate inventory of over 1,000 unique SKUs.
  • Coordinate and organize the movement of product between the Charter Street and Phillipi Road Distribution Centers.
  • Direct leads and associates to resolve operational issues.
  • Direct seasonal/temporary associates on unloading containers.
  • Oversee the direct or indirect training of leads and associates.
  • Conduct annual employee performance evaluations on direct reports.
  • Be a champion of corporate policy and culture.
  • Champion communication between multiple buildings, internal departments, and individuals.
  • Understand the flow of product as it is processed throughout the facility.
  • Execute change initiatives championed by superiors.
  • Generate ideas for process and personnel changes that may impact the operation.
  • Understand and oversee corporate security policies and practices, including building security and other loss prevention activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must have at least 2 years of management or supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day, lift at least 50 lbs. and bend 50% of the day while stacking or pulling product on a skid or from shelves 
• Organize and direct work in all areas and determine workforce needs.
• Enforce all Distribution Center policies and procedures.
• Communicate and assist in areas outside of regular area when necessary.
• Support safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Participate in training as needed.
• Equipment used: forklift, skids, pallet jacks, computer systems, RF Scanner and general office equipment
• We are looking for a strong leader with great attention to detail.
• Hours are Monday thru Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
