About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Ohio. This 14-day assignment runs from June 25 to July 8, 2025, with flexible scheduling options. The role involves providing in-house, inpatient care in a Special Care Nursery, managing premature and ill babies as early as 32 weeks gestation. Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide inpatient care for premature and ill infants in a Special Care Nursery 

• Manage patients as young as 32 weeks gestation 

• Collaborate with specially trained nursing staff and NPs 

• Conduct rounds and assess patient progress 

• Develop and adjust treatment plans as needed 

• Communicate effectively with families about patient care and progress 

• Coordinate with other specialists for comprehensive patient care 

• Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation and management 

• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures 

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to neonatal care 

• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled within chosen shifts


Additional Information: 

• Experience in pediatric hospitalist care, particularly in neonatal settings, required 

• Comfort with managing premature and ill infants essential 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work efficiently in a hospital environment 

• Current Ohio medical license required
