Job Description:

The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, ANA's Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16. The RN coordinates and provides care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing Required
Experience:
6 Months Nursing - Acute Care Preferred
2000 hours Nursing - Endoscopy Must be Obtained within last 3 years - Core Requirement
Certifications/Licensures:
RN - Registered Nurse - Current California License Required
BLS - Basic Life Support - Certification Required
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required
Rhythm Recognition and Treatment Exam - Must Pass Required
Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test – Internal Candidates Must Pass Prior to Applying for Position (must be proctored in Human Resources) – Required
Skills:
Core:
Must meet competency standards for all endoscopic procedures and other tests performed in the Endoscopy Unit.
Must be able to assume role of relief charge nurse.
Variable start time: 0800-1000

08.0 - 10:00 - 18:30 No Waive (United States of America)Pay Range:
$73.20 - $99.73HourlyNote: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
