Job Description:

The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame, primarily providing rest and meal relief, utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, ANA's Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16. The RN coordinates and provides care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing - Required

Experience:
6 Months Nursing - Acute Care - Preferred
1000 hours Nursing - Medical/Surgical - Must be Obtained within last 2 years - Non-core Requirement
Certification/Licensures:
RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency Certification - Achieved by the end of orientation to the assigned area - Required
NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency Competency - Successful completion on an annual basis - Required
Skills:
Must meet clinical core qualifications within 24 months.
Must demonstrate competency in the care of medical surgical and telemetry patients.

08.0 - 19:30 - 04:00 No Waive (United States of America)Pay Range:
$75.02 - $102.22HourlyNote: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
