Job Summary

  • Reporting to the Sr. Administrative Assistant of Radiology, the Clinical Office Coordinator will work closely with the Section Leader of Interventional Radiology(IR), the Clinical Resource Nurse, and Lead IR Technologist. 
  • The Clinical Office Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are to provide comprehensive clerical support to staff and physicians within the IR Department: answering phones, greeting patients, chart upkeep, reminder calls and issues concerning the flow of patients.
  • Strong customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to multi-task required. Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will be caring, compassionate and be able to put the patients at ease using their excellent communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience
    • One-year Administrative Assistant/Medical Office preferred, but not required
  • Licensure and/or Certification
    • None
  • Skills
    • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and orally.
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding is required. Knowledge of EMR systems preferred.
    • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to multi-task required.
    • Able to work effectively as a team player, or independently to balance and prioritize multiple requests.
    • Effective time management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidential information required.
