Job Summary
- Reporting to the Sr. Administrative Assistant of Radiology, the Clinical Office Coordinator will work closely with the Section Leader of Interventional Radiology(IR), the Clinical Resource Nurse, and Lead IR Technologist.Â
- The Clinical Office Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are to provide comprehensive clerical support to staff and physicians within the IR Department: answering phones, greeting patients, chart upkeep, reminder calls and issues concerning the flow of patients.
- Strong customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to multi-task required. Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
- The ideal candidate will be caring, compassionate and be able to put the patients at ease using their excellent communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience
- One-year Administrative Assistant/Medical Office preferred, but not required
- Licensure and/or Certification
- None
- Skills
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
- Strong communication skills, both written and orally.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding is required. Knowledge of EMR systems preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to multi-task required.
- Able to work effectively as a team player, or independently to balance and prioritize multiple requests.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information required.
