Job Summary

Reporting to the Office Manager of Emerson Cardiovascular Associates, performs a wide variety of cardiology testing and report processing functions for both inpatients and outpatients.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma
     

Experience

  • 3 years of EKG Technician experience required.
  • Must have experience in all Electrocardiographic tests (EKG, Holter Monitor, Exercise Stress, Nuclear Stress, Persantine, and Dobutamine stress tests, Pacemaker evaluation).
  • Knowledge of standard stress testing equipment including treadmill and electrocardiograph monitoring equipment.
  • Demonstrate an advanced knowledge base of normal and pathological cardiopulmonary physiology and exercise metabolism and normal EKG responses at rest and exercise.

Licensure and/or Certification

  • BLS healthcare provider required.
  • Certified Cardiac Technician (must be completed within 6months of offer)

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization and to work accurately with detailed, confidential information.
