Join AAA’s Roadways College Internship Program! 

AAA has an exciting opportunity to join the Data Science Team for a 10-week internship.  Interns should have a career aspiration and passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. Interns will actively participate in program contributing to meaningful projects and work closely each week with the Department Team. 

About the Roadways College Internship Program: 

Over the summer program, interns receive tools and resources for their growth and development that will help them prepare for the current and future workforce, including: 

• Understanding how to align business strategy with key objectives and initiatives 

• Using behavioral and communication tools to enhance their personal image 

• Demonstrating flexibility, agility, and the ability to respond effectively to change 

• Cultivating relationships to increase collaboration and build trust 

What You’ll Do 

• Attend weekly operational and strategic insight sessions with senior leaders

• Attend learning and development sessions to further enhance your leadership skills

• Create and develop presentations using Microsoft Office Tools but not limited to PowerPoint 

• Network with executives and senior leaders across different business units

• Participate in team building and volunteer events

• A Data Scientist Intern will learn the business goals/needs, utilize big data technology to ingest and analyze large amounts of data, and transform findings into actionable business opportunities. 

• You will develop and automate reports and dashboard using Tableau and Microsoft Excel to measure the performance of new data driven implementations and analyses.

• You will use SQL, R, and/or Python to curate data

What You’ll Need  

• Must be a rising or graduating Senior enrolled in a college/university with emphasis in Data Science or similar 

• A self-starter with the ability to communicate and work effectively in teams and cross-functionally

• Experience working with databases and SQL

• Working experience with Tableau

• Ability to communicate clearly

• Working knowledge of Big Data technologies desired

• Working experience with modeling tools such as R or Python desired

• Data Mining/Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence experience a plus

• Able to think outside the box and understand the big-picture thought process

Internship Eligibility: 

• Must commit to the entirety of the program; June 2nd through August 8th 

• Must commit to working full time, 40 hours per week Must be willing to commute to the office daily
