THE POSITION

This role will lead and support restaurant and regional operators in executing local sales and marketing programs by developing strategies and partnerships that actively engage communities, helping restaurants not only meet but exceed their traffic and sales goals. They will oversee local marketing efforts for initiatives like fundraising, catering, and both on-site and off-site events. They will provide guidance to restaurants in the successful implementation of national and regional marketing programs.  Overseeing the marketing efforts of approximately 50 restaurants, this position will require travel and field work about 50% of the time.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

  • Identify creative local marketing opportunities to boost same-store sales, traffic, and guest engagement, while ensuring alignment with both national goals and the specific needs of each restaurant.
  • Serve as the marketing expert for your region, using insights and brand positioning to create and execute local marketing campaigns that drive restaurant sales growth.
  • Build strategic partnerships with local businesses, schools, and organizations to enhance brand visibility and drive traffic, fostering collaborations that benefit all parties.
  • Create and implement innovative local restaurant marketing (LRM) programs aimed at increasing comparable sales and traffic to meet company goals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design localized marketing materials, signage, and promotional assets that are tailored to specific markets, while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Identify and manage sponsorship opportunities for local events, sports teams, and charity partnerships to boost brand presence and deepen community engagement.
  • Maintain regular communication with operations teams and the Restaurant Support Center (RSC), sharing best practices, tracking marketing outcomes, and continuously refining strategies based on performance insights.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, ensuring measurable sales growth and a strong return on marketing investment.
  • Support national company initiatives, offering actionable feedback, sharing best practices, and serving as a key advocate and resource for restaurant teams.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all point-of-purchase (POP) materials in the field.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all local restaurant marketing (LRM) and brand support needs for restaurants within the region.
  • Collaborate with General Managers (GMs) and Regional Partners (RPs) on weekly calls to discuss marketing opportunities, share best practices, and conduct effective restaurant visits as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of experience in field marketing (Restaurant preferred), sales, or operations management, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful sales-building programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred. However, equivalent work experience in a relevant field will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong project management skills: ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with digital marketing strategies, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Strong understanding of customer behavior and the ability to tailor marketing strategies to effectively engage target audiences.

The current salary range for this position is USD $80,000 to $85,000 with a competitive performance-based bonus plan.

Although remote, this position is based on the west coast, preferably in the Southern California Market.
