Claims Finance and Workforce Operations Manager

Job Summary
This position manages the staff, assets, and activities of the Claims Department's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, ROI analysis, and workforce management optimization. Assists Executive management team in the implementationoflong- andshort-rangeplanning, policies, programsandobjectivesforClaims. Works closelywith Management to developandimplementplans to achievestrategicgoals. Actsas a liaisonbetweenClaimsandotherdepartmentsin support ofoperationalandorganizationalgoalsandobjectives. Thispositionisresponsibleformanaging the day-to-dayandoveralladministrativeprocessesfor the Claimsbusinessunit.

Job Duties

  • Managesallaspectsofkeyinitiativesincludingresearch, scope, requirements, analysis, costs/benefits, communicationmediumsandtrackingofresultsin support ofVice President andClaimsoperations. Initiateandchairmeetings.Ā 

  • Drivesbusinessresultsthroughdevelopment, creation, andimplementationofstandardizedanduniformoperatingprocedures, reportingformats, auditpractices, budgetpolicies, administrativeactivities, operationalfunctions, compensationplans, andbusinessplans. Develops, manages, andanalyzesrevenue/expense, budget, service quality, staffing, andrelatedbusinessunitfunctionsandmakesrecommendationsforgoalobtainmentinallareas. Createandimplementprocesses to ensurecompliancewithin ACE.Ā 

  • Coordinatesprojects, specialassignments, andotherdaily/monthlyactivitieswithotherareasasneeded. Applyadvancedprojectmanagementtechniques, determineappropriateanalyticalapproachesanddevelopprojectplansoutliningcurrentstate, definingobjectivedeliverablesandmeasureofsuccess.Ā 

  • Overseesstaffengagedinbusinessperformanceanalysis, budgeting, ad-hocanalysis, incentivecalculations, andotherstatisticalandresearchprojectsin support of the businessunit. Ensuresdaily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, andannualreportsaredistributedontimeandareaccurate.Ā 

  • Hires, trains, develops, evaluates, andterminatesstaffasnecessary, inaccordancewithcompanypoliciesandfederal/stateregulations, withinputfrom the Human Resources department. Providescoachinganddevelopmentopportunitiesandaddressesperformanceissuesasappropriate.Ā 

  • Reviewsandrecommendsdirectionforallfinancialandcapitalexpendituredecisionsof the businessunit to assessprofitabilityandalignmentwithbusinessobjectives.Ā 

  • Decisionsincludedevelopmentofpoliciesandproceduresandbestpractices. Makesdecisionsinvolvinggoalandresourceallocationwithin the businessunit. Problemsolvingincludes, maximizingofficeperformancein the areasofrevenue, budgetand service goals, aswellasofficeandoragentproductivityissues. Decisionsaregenerallymadeindependently. In the mostcomplexsituations, decisionsareelevated to the executivelevel. Work iscomplexandrequiresbroadunderstandingof the business.Ā 

Qualifications

  • BachelorsEquivalentcombinationofeducationandexperiencePreferredĀ 

  • 7-9yearsProgressivelyincreasingresponsibilityinanareasuchasbudgetaryandfinancialanalysis, businessperformance, operationalexcellence, oroperationsmanagement. RequiredĀ Ā 

  • 4-6years Management/SupervisoryPreferredĀ Ā 

  • Professional verbalandwrittencommunicationskillsrequired.Ā Ā 

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office softwareproducts, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access required. Additionalcomputersoftwareskillssuch MS Project andPublisherdesired.Ā Ā 

  • General organizationalandtimemanagementskillsrequired, aswellas the ability to multitask. Meetprojectdeadlinesassetbymanagement.Ā Ā 

  • Proveninterpersonalskillsworkingin a team environment, creating a motivationforhighachievement.Ā Ā 

  • Mustbeable to delegateandoverseeprojectsandassignments to otheremployeesasdirected.Ā Ā 

  • Advanced verbalandwrittenskills.Ā Ā 

  • Ability to expresscomplextechnicalconceptsintermsnon-technical people canunderstand.Ā Ā 

  • Ability to interfacewithSenior ManagementĀ Ā 

  • Ability to accuratelycompile, analyzeandprovidereportingforlargequantitiesofcomplexdata.Ā Ā 

  • KnowledgeofClaims-specificapplicationssuchas MRM Portal, Claims Portal, Business Objects, andTableaupreferred.Ā

  • Thispositionmanages/supervises people 20+ 11-49Ā Ā

The starting pay range for this position is:

$114,200.00 - $168,400.00

Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
