Who We Are Looking For 

If you are passionate about data, and you enjoy using it to drive change and solve business problems, then we want to hear from you! We’re looking for someone to lead the modernization of our data environment by creating our next-generation data mart in the cloud (AWS). To be successful in this mission, you should be very comfortable with large and highly complex data environmentsof a large enterprise,cloud environments like AWS, have strong data prep and scripting skills, especially using the Microsoft stack (SSMS, SSIS, SSDT, etc.), and be able to architect efficient, scalable, and performantdata solutions for consumption by analysts and engineers. We’re looking for someone who is consultant minded and can design solutions that solve business problems without requiring detailed specs. Your primary mission is to help drive sales, grow revenue, and optimizeoperations. To do this, you must understand the business well enough to independently architect data that can be easily used to develop solutions that delight our customers

What You'll Be Doing 

  • Designing, developing, and deployingdatabase solutions in AWS using various sources such as OLAP/OLTP databases, flat files, and cloud-based applications  

  • Create ETLs that optimally prepare data for reporting and analytics  

  • Optimizing and tune performance through various techniques  

  • Contributing to reliability, quality, security and scalability of applications. 

  • Working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, requiring you to manage expectations 

  • Continuously learning and exceling at solution driven problem-solving by using your analytical skills. 

  • Driving technical excellence within the team, ensuring best practices are followed  

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to overcome and resolve dependencies  

  • Maintaininga consultant-mindset in place of an order-taking mindset

What We Require 

  • Strong SQL programming skills, including query optimization and performance tuning  

  • Experience working in Enterprise Data Warehouse environments and AWS 

  • Proficient in database development using MS SQL in OLAP/OLTP environments 

  • Proficient with ETL development, designing and developing data transformation solutions using a variety of SSIS components (ie. Control Flow, Data Flow, Transformations, Script components using C#) 

  • Experience with Github version control 

  • Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies  

  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for deployments  

  • Must be a self-starter and require limited guidance towards project deliverables

The starting pay range for this position is:

$104,400.00 - $139,200.00

Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
