Mainframe Systems Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Mainframe Systems Engineer with experience working on mainframe systems, particularly with DB2 and z/OS. Familiarity with tools like CICS and JCL is a plus. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise in a hybrid work environment.

What You'll Do:

• Mainframe Operations: Maintain and monitor mainframe systems to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Database Management: Support DB2 database performance, backups, and security.

• System Administration: Assist with z/OS installation, updates, and configuration.

• Application Support: Develop or update CICS applications and manage JCL scripts.

• Security Management: Apply security protocols using Top Secret.

• System Monitoring: Use BMC tools for system health and performance management.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Some exposure to mainframe systems and familiarity with DB2, z/OS, and JCL.

• Basic understanding of DB2 and z/OS operations.

• Familiarity with CICS and JCL is a plus.

• Experience with security tools like Top Secret and BMC tools is beneficial.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM DB2, z/OS, or CICS) are a bonus but not required.
