Position: CMM Programmer/Operator

Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate CMMs using software like CALYPSO, PC-DMIS, or Metrologic to create precise measurement routines.
- Lead the development of aircraft inspection plans, incorporating CMMs, laser trackers, and other tools for accurate assessments.
- Interpret and transform engineering drawings into effective CMM programs and detailed inspection plans.
- Conduct inspections of parts and assemblies to verify alignment with design tolerances and specifications.
- Ensure accurate and consistent recording of inspection data to support statistical analysis and process improvements.
- Regularly inspect and maintain CMM machines to ensure their reliability and accuracy.
- Ensure that CMMs are calibrated and functioning according to established standards.
- Troubleshoot any CMM-related issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain measurement traceability and ensure compliance with company quality management systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in metrology, with programming expertise in CALYPSO, Polyworks, PC-DMIS, or Metrologic, along with practical experience using CMMs, Laser Trackers, scanners, or arms.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience in creating and approving first article inspections with knowledge of the tools required for proper inspection.
- Ability to identify nonconformances during inspections and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Familiarity with MES systems and experience creating inspection plans electronically.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting within aerospace or similarly regulated industries.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience building real-time dashboards using Sigma.
- Experience in the development and validation of automated inspection systems in manufacturing, including proficiency with SQL.
- Familiarity with SA (if relevant to the role).
