Core Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment:

  • Team up with physicians to assess and continually evaluate treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans related to speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate with patients and families to establish realistic care plans.

Treatment Planning and Care Provision:

  • Implement customized treatment plans and choose engaging activities to help patients reach their goals.
  • Revise goals with input from patients and families, ensuring ongoing education and support.
  • Provide discharge instructions and connect patients with community resources as needed.

Documentation:

  • Maintain clear documentation of evaluations and treatment plans according to departmental guidelines.
  • Record each session accurately and complete all required paperwork promptly.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years as a Speech Language Pathologist.
