MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:    
•    High school diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in maintenance related activities
•    2-year technical degree in related discipline will substitute for related work experience
•    Must successfully pass job-specific testing and mechanical aptitude test.
•    Qualified in general industrial electricity (440v, motors, low voltage controls)
•    Working knowledge of PLC
•    Read and draw prints and schematics
•    Must successfully pass Mechanical Comprehension test
•    Knowledge of basic maintenance tools such as wrenches, power tools, hand tools, arc, mig and tig welding and acetylene torch acquired through certified technical degree or 5 years comprehensive experience in maintenance of similar equipment at a manufacturing plant
•    Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
•    Experience in welding/fabrication of heavy and light sheet metal
•    Basic knowledge of press, grinders, metal shear, break and roll
•    Must be able to interpret and respond to written and verbal instructions
•    Read and interpret prints, drawings, schematics, operating manuals, repair manuals, and parts lists
•    Must be able to work in height-related area over 15 feet
•    Must obtain and maintain Class II lift truck license
•    Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:    
Generic: Dahlonega Plant Basic Training to include New Associate Orientation, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and annual OSHA-required training.
Job Specific: Up to six months training and experience required to become qualified in job duties to include: 
    Obtain and maintain class II lift truck license.
    Electronic and mechanical training on plant equipment to include, but not limited to, centerless grinders, inspection machines, furnaces, cold forming machines, etc.
    Vehicle safety awareness.
    Confined Space Non-Permit. 
    Lockout/Tagout Affected training. 
Pay progression is based on experience, demonstrated performance, extra certifications/courses, etc.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
Safety: Follow all SDS guidelines as they apply to the materials used to perform the job. Must wear proper PPE as required. Must use safe driving habits while operating company owned vehicles. Must use safe lifting/ material handling practices and techniques. 
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO): Adhere to OSHA and Corporate guidelines for lockout/tagout policy.
Environmental: Adhere to company/plant policies/ regulations regarding safety and environmental issues.
Compliance:  Must adhere to the Compliance and Ethics Program Policy and the Whistleblowing Policy.
    
SUPPLEMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
Communication: Must communicate effectively within the department, with internal customers, sister plants, and vendors. 
Housekeeping: Will be required to perform 5S/housekeeping assignments.
Teamwork: Participate in team activities inside and outside of the work area.

WORKING CONDITIONS: 
Somewhat disagreeable working conditions. Must occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.  Responsible for electronic troubleshooting, diagnostics, and component repair and replacement. Expected to aid in keeping the plant up to date in the electronics field by identifying and implementing new applications, areas for improvement, improved equipment, and improved methods that result in lower cost and improved quality. Concentrated attention needed to avoid loss time injuries to self and others. 

MINIMUM JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Read and draw prints and schematics that can be converted by draftsmen into standard format
•    Modify existing prints and schematics as required to reflect changes
•    Repair components when feasible
•    Analyze and evaluate circuit boards for repair
•    Train other support personnel
•    Service plant equipment/machines, microprocessor-based controls, instrumentation, solid state controls, in addition to normal electrical duties
•    Responsible for PM’s and repairs of all plant equipment
•    Plan, layout, and perform installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair of all plant equipment following the approved maintenance and installation standards
•    Work with other maintenance technicians when completing all phases of installation, PM, and/or repairs, specifically plumbing of air, hydraulic, oil, water and gas lines
•    Ability to use multi-meter to check live circuit
•    Make all necessary weldments and perform minor masonry work
•    Use measuring devices (precision equal to machinist) such as micrometers, gauges, calipers, and other measuring devices necessary to troubleshoot and repair equipment
•    Repair and maintain electric motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical and mechanical control systems, lighting systems, and power transmission systems
•    Ability to safely rig machine parts for removal from equipment
•    Participate in training of other maintenance employees
•    Legibly and accurately complete all paperwork
•    Perform other duties as required by manager
•    Can be moved between multiple departments as based on business needs
