•   2-year technical degree in related discipline will substitute for related work experience
•   Must successfully pass job-specific testing and mechanical aptitude test.
•   Qualified in general industrial electricity (440v, motors, low voltage controls)
•   Working knowledge of PLC
•   Read and draw prints and schematics
•   Must successfully pass Mechanical Comprehension test
•   Knowledge of basic maintenance tools such as wrenches, power tools, hand tools, arc, mig and tig welding and acetylene torch acquired through certified technical degree or 5 years comprehensive experience in maintenance of similar equipment at a manufacturing plant
•   Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
•   Experience in welding/fabrication of heavy and light sheet metal
•   Basic knowledge of press, grinders, metal shear, break and roll
•   Must be able to interpret and respond to written and verbal instructions
•   Read and interpret prints, drawings, schematics, operating manuals, repair manuals, and parts lists
•   Must be able to work in height-related area over 15 feet
•   Must obtain and maintain Class II lift truck license
•   Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
Job Specific: Up to six months training and experience required to become qualified in job duties to include:Â
   Obtain and maintain class II lift truck license.
   Electronic and mechanical training on plant equipment to include, but not limited to, centerless grinders, inspection machines, furnaces, cold forming machines, etc.
   Vehicle safety awareness.
   Confined Space Non-Permit.Â
   Lockout/Tagout Affected training.Â
Pay progression is based on experience, demonstrated performance, extra certifications/courses, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS:Â
MINIMUM JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•   Modify existing prints and schematics as required to reflect changes
•   Repair components when feasible
•   Analyze and evaluate circuit boards for repair
•   Train other support personnel
•   Service plant equipment/machines, microprocessor-based controls, instrumentation, solid state controls, in addition to normal electrical duties
•   Responsible for PM’s and repairs of all plant equipment
•   Plan, layout, and perform installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair of all plant equipment following the approved maintenance and installation standards
•   Work with other maintenance technicians when completing all phases of installation, PM, and/or repairs, specifically plumbing of air, hydraulic, oil, water and gas lines
•   Ability to use multi-meter to check live circuit
•   Make all necessary weldments and perform minor masonry work
•   Use measuring devices (precision equal to machinist) such as micrometers, gauges, calipers, and other measuring devices necessary to troubleshoot and repair equipment
•   Repair and maintain electric motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical and mechanical control systems, lighting systems, and power transmission systems
•   Ability to safely rig machine parts for removal from equipment
•   Participate in training of other maintenance employees
•   Legibly and accurately complete all paperwork
•   Perform other duties as required by manager
•   Can be moved between multiple departments as based on business needs
