The Chief Engineer has overall responsibility for all aspects of facilities management services and/or operations. The Chief Engineer is ABM's primary point of contact for day-to-day operations. They will create an unwavering attitude and commitment to safety and reliability within the facilities management environment. The Chief will drive continual improvements to the operation by creating an expectation of learning and development of team members.

- 15 years of operating engineering experience with 5 at a management level that supports and actively participates in the financial areas of an operating asset, I.E., budgets, invoicing, purchase orders and payroll.
- One of the following, AA/AS degree, Certificate of completion from a vocational school (minimum 1 ½ years), FMA, SMA OR SMT designations.
- Engineering skill sets which can be applied to a range of equipment, systems, and  maintenance program.Â
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues, detailed level of required solutions for the issue and communicate timely, effectively and clearly.Â
- Excellent verbal and technical writing skills required.Â
• With a Bachelor of Science degree, seven (7) years of prior experience in the engineering field is preferred

- Â Provide engineering support for a wide range of systems, maintenance programs, as well as operational engineering functions.
- Must be able to understand, analyze and seek solutions to the design, operation, maintenance, performance or repair of equipment, systems, and their components.
- Should be able to logically approach problem solving, define a maintenance program or configuration and ensure a safe and legal operation.Â
- Develop solutions and implementation plans, project justification, cost/benefit analysis, and overall management of project implementation.Â
- Organizes and manages the priorities for assigned responsibilities and accomplishes the work process to meet all deliverables for projects as well as daily maintenance requests.Â
- Coordinates work with other internal and external customers and groups to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, operational efficiency and mitigate the potential for business interruptions.
