Job Summary

** $10,000 Sign on Bonus for Qualified Applicants **Performs noninvasive vascular testing, preliminary interpretation and reporting of test results, independent triage patient history and exam requests, assessment of results to determine level of disease and need for additional testing or urgency of further care or reporting to provider. Collaborates with providers to enable the appropriate patient care, depending on the results of exams; Communicates test results with referring providers to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.

Job Duties

  • Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and appropriately documented while respecting confidentiality.
  • Utilizes appropriate imaging protocol and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety, optimizing patient care, and applying principles of ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable). 
  • Preparing and/or administering, as applicable, medications through new or existing vascular access site as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.  
  • Evaluates images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality and verifies archival storage and/or transfer of data, post processing of data if applicable. 
  • Educating and monitoring students and other health care providers. 
  • Performing diagnostic vascular sonographic procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner or during appropriate educational activities.

Education
