Job Summary

Geisinger is proud to offer General Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Regional Float positions with a $15,000 sign on bonus for eligible candidates! This position also offers a $6/hr. premium on top of the base pay rate.This position is based at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center and will float to other areas in that region as needed. Assignments will be made with consideration of driving distance from home location. Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and for maintaining related records.

Job Duties

  • Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
  • Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
  • Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
  • Assists physician with various procedures.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintains related records and notations.
  • Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  • Participates in the educational training of students.
  • Primary schedule consists ofĀ floating between hospitals within a regional locationĀ to fill scheduling gaps due to time off and staffing shortages, which includes nights and weekends.

Position Details

Coverage requirements may include days, evening, nights, weekends, holidays or any combination.
