The Sr Manager Business Development will help define the strategy and execute on new inorganic growth opportunities for Baxter’s Infusion Therapies and Technologies (ITT) business. This global role partners with the four divisions within the ITT segment to identify technologies, assets and partnerships that fill portfolio gaps or deliver innovation to enable and drive growth for the business across all regions. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the cross-functional business development process (from initial landscaping to transaction close) including engagement with external targets, leading approval requests, and providing management updates. This role is in the ITT Business Development and Strategy team, which is also responsible for development of the segment strategy and market & competitive intelligence. What you'll be doing: Collaborate with division & segment leadership globally to establish BD strategy, identifying and prioritizing categories of interest. Lead category and technology landscapes to ID specific targets. Collaborate with commercial, R&D and medical partners to evaluate products and technologies categories through a comprehensive view of the category including category size and growth potential, competitive dynamics, key unmet needs and innovation opportunities. Lead full cross-functional teams through the business development process across a range of potential deal structures (Venture, Acquisition, Licensing, Distribution, Development, etc.). Develop financial deal models with Finance and Commercial teams to construct the investment case. Prepare and deliver deal approval requests and pipeline reviews for senior management. Provide guidance and support to business development activities to local region teams. Train and guide cross functional business partners on BD process and participation in BD activities. Participate in alliance management activities with strategic partners when necessary – including activities such as transition services, development project management, steering committee participation, etc. Support transition and launch preparation activities for inorganic product launches.
