CPS, a partner of Heritage LSG is seeking a skilled Central Control and Service Support Technician to join our innovative team! This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of irrigation systems and troubleshooting electrical components.

The Central Control and Service Support Technician role will work closely with the Central Control and Golf Sales Teams. They will get on the job training across several central control systems, their respective installation requirements and troubleshooting steps, and will work closely with the Technical Services Manager and help and support the inside sales operations at the branch. They will work with the teams to plan and execute the service and installation of products to better serve our clients. Pay range: $28 (depending on experience)

Experience/Industry Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of basic irrigation operations from hydraulics the electrical controls.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical principles. For example, resistance,  AC/DC power.
  • Use and understand digital multi-meters, ammeters, wire locators ground fault equipment, and other test equipment.
  • Be able to read hydraulic/mechanical, electrical, and other landscape irrigation designs/plans.
  • Maintain clean safe working conditions, vehicle maintenance and organization, and follow policy set-forth by management teams.
  • Diagnose, repair, programming, and installation of central control components such as, but not limited to: Central Control PC’s, field interfaces, grounding, sensors, sensor input modules, satellite/controller componentry, radio mast/towers antennas and cabling.
  • Collection and implementation of associated map data into central control software.
  • 2-wire communication, general power, and understanding of short/open circuits.
  • Build relationships with existing clients/contractors/consultants. Cultivate new leads and convert clients/consultants/contractors to CPS supporters.
  • Follow instruction by management team to promote a safe, healthy, organized branch.
  • Promote CPS as the leader in central control/golf product knowledge, support, and customer service.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Satisfactory driving record (company vehicle provided)
  • Minimum of 3 years of irrigation service experience, with a focus on electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to learn/comprehend new material related to irrigation industry.
  • Basic understanding of wattage, voltage, resistance, amperage.
  • Able to pass criminal, background check and a pre-employment drug test.

Pay range: $28 (depending on experience)

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $18 to $23 per hour. SRS/Heritage considers multiple factors including job related knowledge, skillset and experience when determining the final salary.
