Spirit of the Position:

The Event Staff is the front-line personnel responsible for greeting, engaging, and interacting with all customers entering and exiting the facility. The position requires cash handling, correct change, monitoring transactions for traffic entering/exiting the facility, and ensuring that people enter and exit the arenas safely.

Principle Job Duties:

  • Meet and greet each customer with courtesy and excellent customer service.
  • Collect the parking fees and provide the correct change.
  • Understand and know how to handle different types of parkers, i.e., tenants, visitors, employees, administration, etc.
  • Understand the surroundings and building area to answer questions.
  • Complete the daily report.
  • Assist in staffing the exit or entry booth during peak collection hours to facilitate exit/entry should problems occur.
  • Communicate with management, supervisors, and traffic directors.
  • Answer customer service questions concerning parking and answer general customers. Inquiries are made courteously, professionally, and effectively; questions are referred to the supervisor when applicable.
  • Determine traffic flow in times of equipment failure or during periods of construction.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Demonstrate the ability to seek improvement.
  • Field additional duties if they are assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays.
  • Ability to bend at the knees or squat frequently throughout a shift
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather (rain, sleet, snow, heat, high wind, etc.)

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to physically push/pull/lift to 50lbs
