What You'll Be Doing:

A Make-Ready Technician performs the work necessary to make a home ready for our next residents, delivering on our resident commitments of exceptional move-ins, total satisfaction. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in performing quality work, and can work independently while being part of a larger team.  As part of a skilled team responsible for maintaining a portfolio of apartment communities, you'll be at the forefront of reshaping maintenance work in the multifamily industry. Physical and Visual Activities: Ability to perform numerous physical activities that require considerable use of your hands, arms and legs and moving your whole body, including prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, sweeping, stooping, kneeling, shoveling, crouching, lifting and handling of materials. Frequent lifting, grasping and carrying materials and equipment up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work inside and outside in all types of weather. This role may also assist with snow removal as needed. Local travel within the portfolio is required.  

Daily responsibilities include: 

  • Repairing or replacing appliances, faucets, entry locks and other apartment fixtures as well as performing some light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work.
  • Drywall repairs, wall painting, caulking, and grouting.
  • Flooring (vinyl, tile) repairs or installation and carpet cleaning.
  • Using a mobile app for documenting time, performing inspections, and communicating with the local teams. 
  • Assist with common area scheduled maintenance work and snow removal as required. 
  • Local travel within the portfolio. You may not always start or end your day in the same place.
  • Participation in the afterhours on-call rotation for select communities in the portfolio


What You'll Need to Thrive:

  • Experience in trades such as HVAC, Plumbing, Painting, Carpentry, Electrical, or related fields is highly valued. A background in residential or commercial property management is also beneficial
  • Customer service experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation is required if the employee will operate a motorized vehicle (e.g., car, golf cart) during their workday and/or as part of their role.
  • Willingness to learn and use technology for task management and documentation 
  • Effective communication skills
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Maintain an up-to-date Smartphone

The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with on call rotation for evenings and weekends as assigned
