About The Position
A Large Cardiac PICU is seeking a critical care locum.
The facility is located in Iowa.
During the day, each provider cares for a maximum of seven patients, while at night, the limit is fourteen, though the ratio may be lower depending on patient acuity. The average patient census is ten, with zero to three admissions per day.# of admissions per day: 0-3

Case Load/PPD: 7-14
Shift Type: Day Shift; Night Shift
Assignment Type: Inpatient
Assignment Duration: Locums
Shift Times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
Procedures Required: arterial puncture/line insertion; central venous line insertion; endotracheal intubation; thoracentesis, lumbar puncture
Certifications Required: Pediatric Acute care
Call Required: No
Board Certification Required: Negotiable
Prescriptive Authority Required: Yes
Patient Population: Children
Support Staff: Permanent staff--1 APP + 1 fellow physician + 1 intensivist 24/7; when staffing allows a 2nd APP will be staffed on day shifts.
