Materials Clerk, Logistics, 3PL

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Onsite - DeSoto, TX

Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager – Logistics, 3PL Operations, this position will support daily, tactical processes related to inventory management, customer quality assurance, WMS data integrity and reporting for select 3PL-operated Distribution Centers (DCs) within the Kohler Kitchen and Bath North America distribution network. They will partner with onsite 3PL personnel and both onsite and offsite Kohler personnel to ensure accurate tactical execution of essential functions supporting site-level goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Specific Responsibilities

  • Partner with onsite operations teams to ensure a high level of executional inventory integrity through the creation and monitoring of WMS goods receipts, aged shipment maintenance and receipt discrepancy tracking and investigation
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory syncronization between the site WMS and Kohler ERP (SAP) systems through monitoring of daily inventory reports, idoc processing and issue investigation/resolution
  • Partner with 3PL Inventory personnel to perform investigations or verifications requested by Customer Service, Sales, Quality or Engineering. Coordinating Special Select of requested pieces, product availability and quarantines as needed
  • Partner with 3PL Operations and Quality Teams on investigations and root cause analysis of customer quality failures and provide feedback on corrective actions to Kohler Sales and Customer Services Teams
  • Provide monthly reporting of inventory related KPIs, including inventory accuracy, cycle count results, WMS/SAP data accuracy, restricted inventory and pending inbound deliveries.
  • Perform daily data uploads between SAP ERP and site WMS systems
  • Support the on-going maintenance of integration between host system (SAP) and WMS Systems.  Identify gaps and recommend potential solutions.
  • Participate in special projects, and provide support for other sites in Kitchen & Bath Americas network as needed.

Skills/Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience within Supply Chain or Operations is required.  Experience with SAP ERP inventory maintenance required, with understanding of WMS systems including SAP WM, JDA/Blue Yonder, and/or other tier 1 WMS applications preferred.  Prior experience in inventory control related roles is also preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related field desirable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks throughout the day
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Must be detailed-oriented
  • Proficiency in basic quantitative analysis
  • Highly reliable and positive attitude
