JOB SUMMARY
The HR Payroll Specialist is primarily responsible for processing payroll and T&A administration. This role is also responsible for administrative tasks within the HR Department.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace’s value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
- Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Report all job related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook).
- Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Attend all EH&S training.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll for employees for the Dover facility.
- Serve as administrator for T&A system, including working with vendor to address issues, set up new users and training new T&A users.
- Assist T&A users with coding issues, corrections, edits, etc.
- Prepare reports to various departments regarding payroll and absenteeism.
- Prepare and maintain various reports for the Business Unit
- Work with other departments regarding payroll reporting
- Generate absenteeism disciplinary reports for review with HRM
- Track and update LOA’s in the T&A systems
- Work closely with HR Generalist to assist in On-boarding new employees and orientation process.
- Assist with New Hire and Termination paperwork
- Assist in maintaining personnel filing system and record retention
- Administer Employee Service awards and employee recognition programs
- Assist with routine audit processes by preparing payroll information as requested
- Other tasks assigned by Management

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.Â
- 2 years’ experience processing payroll or related HR experience in a fast-paced environment
