Looking for a great-paying job in a safe & supportive work environment? Clean Tech is looking for an experienced Quality Lab Technician at our recycling facility in Dundee, MI. This is a Direct Hire position that offers paid training and opportunities for advancement.

Our Quality Lab Technicians are responsible for site quality initiatives and testing, monitoring testing activities of Operators, maintaining calibration of testing equipment, and assisting with plant operations as directed.

Job Title: Quality Lab Technician

Location: Dundee, MI

Pay: $48,000/yr

Shift: Days

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintain Calibration of all testing equipment in lab area of responsibility
  • Review, revise test methods and site documentation
  • Maintain and update silo tracking
  • Report COA data to customers
  • Assist with site quality initiatives
  • Perform specialized testing for finished goods
  • Review finished material samples to approve for shipments
  • Review/Audit production logs
  • Participate in special projects
  • Participate in Operations Meeting as needed
  • Participate in HACCP initiatives as required
  • Perform daily product testing when required
  • Maintain lab supply inventory
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or minimum 2 years relevant experience
  • Computer competence in Microsoft products
  • Basic understanding of PET properties and processing, including drying, extrusion, and pelletizing
  • Fundamental understanding of plastic recycling principles
  • Familiarity with Quality Control principles and objectives
  • Able to obtain a valid forklift license
  • Able to work every other weekend

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Constant: lift and/or move up to 15lbs
  • Frequent: sitting, standing, climbing stairs/ladders, walking
