AOA Xinetics (AOX), a wholly owned Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Payload and Ground Systems Division, Mission Enabling Products business unit, is a leading supplier of complex electro-optic and photonic systems and subsystems that control and manipulate light waves for a variety of applications. We are seeking a dynamic Program Manager for our Special Programs Business Area located in East Hartford, CT. Reporting to the Director of Special Programs, the Program Manager will lead AOX’s partnership with customers in commercial ventures, the U.S. Government, and U.S. defense prime and second-tier contractors. Our ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical expertise and collaborative people skills with the proven ability experience to work within a technically dynamic, high-growth, fast-paced and strategically important business unit for NG Space Systems. Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Establishes milestones, identifies program problems, and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules. Works with other PMs to coordinate staffing across programs based on program priorities set by the Director of Special Programs. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. Controls expenditures within limitation of project budget.
