Job Purpose

Perform engineering duties such as the planning of manufacturing, and the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus. Improve manufacturing characteristics through complex problem root cause analysis and solution implementation.  Project management to support department business targets as well as new model requirements (including gaining consensus, financial analysis, reporting, implementation, and results verification).

Key Accountabilities

Lead, support, develop and justify solutions to complex problems.
Development of targets, specifications, schedules, and budgets to create project plans.
Project management (Analyse-Plan-Justify-Implement-Confirm-Report)
Review and approve electrical design and specifications to ensure final product meets product specification and design intent.
Develop and provide technical support for current equipment to meet and exceed department characteristic targets.
Develop strong customer-based viewpoint to promote associate buy-in to meet characteristic targets.
Complex troubleshooting and analysis of electrical equipment to resolve issues in a timely manner
Review daily reports and investigate reported problems to identify root causes and implement countermeasures.
Develop self and other team members through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in the area of technical expertise and understanding of succession planning to promote team growth.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Robotics) or equivalent related experience
0-6 years of experience in Controls or Manufacturing or equivalent related experience.
Omron PLC, Allen Bradley Guard Logix, Industrial Networking/Communication, knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word), CAD (Catia, and AutoCAD), Time management.
Servo and VFD Control experience
Knowledge and application of machine safety regulations
HMI development and application

10-20 hours of overtime per week possible

50% Standing vs. sitting
