The Supportive Care Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for scheduling all new patient evaluations, follow up appointments, answering phones and mapping routes for home visits.

Location: 7430 Remcon Circle, El Paso, TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm MST

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Schedules all new patient evaluations for Supportive Care
  • Schedules all follow up appointments for Supportive Care Providers, RNs, SWs and LVN/LPNs
  • Verifies patient insurance eligibility prior to each visit
  • Completes timely patient appointment reminders
  • Responsible for mapping patient home visit driving routes for Supportive Care providers using web based applications to ensure maximum drive time efficiency
  • Completes intake for all new patient referrals
  • Updates and maintains master list of Supportive Care Patients for reports
  • Answers phones, resolves call or routes to appropriate contact
  • Maintains timely and accurate documentation of all patient interactions
  • Manages medical records (Requests, verifies receipt of, maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)
  • Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed in timely manner
  • Processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.
  • Greets patients as they arrive and manages 20-minute wait time (As applicable)
  • Assists patients with intake processes including copying required documents (As applicable)
  • Collects co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles and issues receipts (As applicable)
  • Manages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies (As applicable)
  • Processes walk-in patients and visitors (As applicable)
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ year(s) of customer service or medical office experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Healthcare or medical office experience 
  • Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of EMR
