Location: 1721 N Lee Trevino El Paso, TX

Hours: Monday through Friday from 7-4 or 11-8 and rotating Saturdays and Sundays from 8 AM to 6 PM.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Obtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address, insurance information
  • Perform insurance verification on the date of service
  • Check in patients using Phreesia platform
  • Check out patients
  • Scheduling appointments in an organized and efficient manner
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Obtain patient signatures for required documents
  • File and maintain medical records
  • Answering incoming and outgoing telephone calls promptly and courteously,
  • Perform referral documentation promptly
  • Performs certain follow-up services for patients in a prompt and courteous manner, such as scheduling specialist appointments, scheduling follow-up appointments and obtaining copies lab results or specialist reports
  • Adhere to the standards identified via Sparq regarding Optum Employee Policies
  • Work cohesively with fellow employees to achieve specific team goals
  • Cross-train and help in other locations if needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • May be required to travel locally up to 10% of the time for meetings or to cover other clinic locations

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service and/or data entry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and customer service skills both in person and via phone
  • Working knowledge of general office procedures
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Medical office experience
