Remittance Processor Mail Clerk Support Specialist
Full Time and Weekends!
The Remittance Processor will be responsible for processing daily remittances for document transactions for one of the world’s largest lending institutions. The Remittance Processor Specialist will be handling and opening mail, removing checks and payments from envelopes, and verifying. Remittance Processor will require judgment and prior experience with limited direct supervision and a high level of accuracy.
The Remittance Processor will be working a clerical production operation in Elgin, Illinois.

2nd shift Monday - Friday from 3:30PM to 12:00AM

3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 11:00PM to 7:30 AM

Weekend Shift hours and days vary from working over a 4-day period (multiple schedules) from Friday through Tuesday

5:00AM to 3:30PM

8:00AM to 6:30PM

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparing batches of work by removing payments and forms from envelopes
-
Inputting data into the system while following standard operating procedures and customer-specific instructions for processing

Operating high-speed imaging equipment
-
Verifying checks through customer-specific instructions for processing

Matching check images to corresponding material while validating the quality of images
-
Contributing to meeting team goals in addition to individual responsibilities
-
Working in all areas/departments of production as needed

Making judgment calls regarding routine duties but refer non-routine situations to a supervisor and/or manager
Job Requirements

Candidates MUST be willing to submit to fingerprinting and Federal/National Background check

Good oral and written communication skills

Basic computer and typing skills

Ability to lift to 35 pounds
