QPS Employment Group is hiring a Machine Operator in Elk Grove Village, IL. This company is an industry-leading supplier of 3M Tape, 3M Abrasives, 3M Adhesives, 3M Products and a complete variety of industrial tapes. Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate tape slitting, tape die cutting and tape printing machines
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines and record maintenance as required
- Understand basic machine functions in order to produce parts in accordance with work orders and within required tolerances
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Warehouse Supervisor
- Notify Warehouse Supervisor if tools used for equipment, including plates and dies, are damaged
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
- Reduce waste/scrap in production process
Requirements For Machine Operator:
- Minimum 1 year of recent machine operating experience.Â
- Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports
- Strong mechanical aptitude, good math skills, problem solving ability and attention to detail
- Sufficient visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts produced
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly
- Ability to do work requiring frequent standing, stooping and bending
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
