Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) has an immediate opportunity for a Manager, Product Support 2 supporting the Field Engineering’s Technical Data and Training organization. This is a multi-role position encompassing technical competency, people leadership and program performance. This position is located in Elkridge, MD. The successful Manager, Product Support 2 will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. He/she will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. Demonstrated ability to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading his/her team. This candidate will demonstrate a broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities. He/she will have an ability to operate in a team environment to accomplish the team goals. The candidate will work closely with various functional and program managers to estimate, plan, and lead a skilled team of technical instructor and writers, editors and multi-media personnel to develop and deliver training and publication products to program requirements. The ideal candidate will also be able to champion change within the organization, to achieve competitive advantage for the business. In addition to general management, the position requires close coordination with Northrop Grumman Program Managers as well as being the U.S. advocate for employees with HR and computer resources. Night and weekend work might be required in the case of overseas emergencies. Candidate is expected to travel domestically and internationally for program and functional activities.
