Northrop Grumman Weapons Systems is currently seeking a Business Management Analyst - Financial Level 3 or 4 for our Elkton, Maryland location. The Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers. The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Elkton, Maryland is located on the Upper Chesapeake Bay, midway between Philadelphia and Baltimore. You can hike, bike, camp, bird watch, ride horseback, or drop a fishing line. Five rivers, Chesapeake Bay and the C&D Canal can be explored by boat or by land. Experience panoramic views from Turkey Point Lighthouse on a bluff overlooking the Bay, or from the banks of the C&D Canal where ships from around the globe cruise. As a Business Management Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of programs. This position will work very closely with Northrop Grumman program management, operational leaders, material program managers, and internal and external customers. The Business Manager will be a strategic business partner from the initial program pursuit through execution which will ensure a comprehensive understanding of multiple programs supporting the business lane. Many of the programs within this market lane require the implementation of an Earned Value Management System (EVMS). The program portfolios mainly consist of incrementally funded, Cost Plus and Fixed Price Department of Defense contracts, may have an Earned Value Management requirement, and all utilized earned value performance metrics to ensure successful execution. The business manager will be a key player in the establishment of the program baselines and forecasts. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks: Consolidation of and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial market area reports including but not limited to awards, sales, operating margin, cash, sensitivities, and labor forecasting. Communicating with Market Area directors and Senior Managers any substantial changes to the financial plans immediately upon realization. Reviewing and ensuring consistency and accuracy on quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC) reports and packages. Supporting cash management activities including but not limited to proposal cash flow, cash negotiation plan, forecasting and collections. Lead program specific activities including but not limited to program set-up, funding profiles, customer specific financial reports, internal and external program management reviews, Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR), and backlog validation and analysis. Provide training and direction to individual financial analysts assigned to programs.
