Floor Tech & Transportation

Are you interested in interacting with hospitals and doctor’s offices? That’s exactly what you’ll be doing in this position--creating a legacy by interacting with residents one-on-one outside of the facility and helping them feel comfortable in the transportation process. When needed, a nurse aide will accompany the driver on outings for emergencies.

The Floor Tech is responsible for the cleaning services that provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public.

• Uses floor buffer or extractor to clean hallway, dining room, and common area floors daily.

• Uses floor stripper to remove wax as needed and cleans, re-applies wax according to cleaning schedule.

• Respects resident's privacy and preferences about room arrangement, personal items.

• Removes trash according to department procedures.

• Takes appropriate actions to secure housekeeping supplies out of reach of residents at all times.

• Disposes of trash and waste, including bio-hazardous waste and other materials that require special handling, only in accord with facility policies and procedures.

• Post signs indicating a safety hazard any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards

• Uses personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure

Responsibilities for Transportation:

• Follow a schedule on resident’s appointments and be timely in making them.

• Hold oneself to a high standard when interacting with residents one-on-one

• Safely take residents on and off the bus using proper seatbelt and safety equipment

• Have confidence driving a company bus

• Maintain patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and be able to work harmoniously with other personnel

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED),

• Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper
