You would work in concert with other physicians and collectively share management of the patient panel. You will not be responsible for outpatient care during your hospitalist shifts.

·       Traditional Hospitalist role: Candidates will function in a traditional hospitalist role in a community teaching hospital within a tight-knit team of 60+ MDs and 9 APCs dedicated to continuous improvement.  The Medical Hospitalist Team is well supported with strong relationships with the ICU, ER, specialists and hospice.  Our team has deep ties to Washington State University and is a training site for the new WSU internal medicine residency program: teaching is part of the hospitalist role.  The primary hospital setting is a 500-bed safety-net hospital in Everett, Washington, (about 30 miles north of Seattle).

·       Schedule: The schedule would be coordinated between outpatient and inpatient shifts (doing one or the other on any given block of time).  You would not be responsible for outpatient care during inpatient shifts and vice versa.  There is significant schedule flexibility with the capacity to accommodate partial FTEs.
