The Everett Clinic is looking for a growth minded physician internal medicine physician with experience in acute care and geriatrics to function in a mixed role as part time hospitalist and part time primary care provider. Time will be split between the two roles, with supportive collaborative teams in both settings: the common denominator is caring for complex elders in unique and innovative ways. Applicants should have comfort with medically complex patients, interest and advancing patient and family comprehension, and ability to focus on big picture goals. The most desirable candidate would have a strong background in adjust medicine, experience with high acuity care, complex patients, and comfort with prognostication. Palliative care experience is a plus. The two roles are outlined in further detail below:
· Personalized care team: PCT is a cutting-edge outpatient and home-based team that provides integrated, supportive care to a complex aging population, with a goal of reduced suffering, increased patient and family understanding, and optimized care. The interdisciplinary team is comprised of physicians, resident physicians, palliative care clinicians, pharmacists, social workers, RN care managers, and care navigators. The team provides whole person care to complex patients across multiple settings, particularly near the end of life. You would work in concert with other physicians and collectively share management of the patient panel. You will not be responsible for outpatient care during your hospitalist shifts.
· Traditional Hospitalist role: Candidates will function in a traditional hospitalist role in a community teaching hospital within a tight-knit team of 60+ MDs and 9 APCs dedicated to continuous improvement. The Medical Hospitalist Team is well supported with strong relationships with the ICU, ER, specialists and hospice. Our team has deep ties to Washington State University and is a training site for the new WSU internal medicine residency program: teaching is part of the hospitalist role. The primary hospital setting is a 500-bed safety-net hospital in Everett, Washington, (about 30 miles north of Seattle).
· Schedule: The schedule would be coordinated between outpatient and inpatient shifts (doing one or the other on any given block of time). You would not be responsible for outpatient care during inpatient shifts and vice versa. There is significant schedule flexibility with the capacity to accommodate partial FTEs.

Required Qualifications:
- Unrestricted WA State Medical License or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Current WA DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine or ability to obtain prior to employment
- EMR proficient
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Self-starter with ability to practice with a high degree of independence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Managed Care experience
- 1+ years’ experience post-training
- Experience with complex geriatric patients
Washington Residents Only: The salary range for Washington residents is $256,997 to $364,843 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement.
