Primary Responsibilities:
- Uses established scanner protocols based on needs of the individual patient and ordered examination
- Adheres to radiation safety protocols which includes a basic understanding of Facility Radioactive Materials (RAM) licensure, radiation exposure control for patients, staff, and general public, personnel monitoring devices, area radiation monitoring and surveys, and handles radiation decontamination according to Federal and State guidelines
- Demonstrates proficiency with radiopharmaceuticals including proper selection, ordering, handling and preparation, storage and disposal, and proper radioactive materials documentationÂ
- Administers oral and intravenous radiopharmaceuticals and standard adjunctive medications as authorized and assists authorized users in receipt and administration of therapeutic radionuclides
- Maintains the cleanliness of the nuclear camera and associated equipment in accordance with the infection control policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Completion of a course in Nuclear Medicine Technology approved by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for registry eligibility
- Current NMTCB and/or ARRT licensure
- Active WA state license or pending application
Washington Residents Only:The hourly range for this role is $40.00 to $70.00 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
