Primary Responsibilities:Â
- Produces high quality diagnostic ultrasound with the ability to recognize visualized anatomy and pathology following established protocols and ordered examination
- Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure safety, comfort and confidentiality during scan, keeps patient physically covered whenever possible
- Evaluates images for technical quality
- Maintains the cleanliness of the ultrasound machine, transducers and associated minor equipment in accordance with the infection control policies and procedures
- Consistently uses and reinforces proper body mechanics and appropriate personal protection equipment

Required Qualifications:Â
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Graduation from an ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP)
- Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the specialty areas of Abdomen and OB/GYN ultrasound, or registry eligible

The hourly range for this role is $28.61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
