Northrop Grumman is seeking a Director to lead AI, Privacy and Data Governance within our Insights & Intelligence Solutions (I2S) organization. This position will report directly to the Sr. Director, I2S and will partner closely with our legal, cybersecurity and compliance partners. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in governance and will play a crucial role in ensuring that our data practices are secure, ethical, and compliant with all applicable regulations across the company’s global footprint. This role will sit in our Falls Church, VA location. As part of our Chief Information & Digital Office, I2S is reimagining decision-making at Northrop Grumman. We are a team of strategic analysts, scientists, engineers, technologists, AI experts, and privacy professionals who use science, research, and data to identify strategic insights and create innovative and trustworthy analytic solutions for our business. As the Director of AI, Privacy, and Data Governance within I2S, you will be responsible for integrating our AI, privacy, and data governance functions, leading strategy and operationalizing that strategy into action. Additionally, you will ensure the ethical use and protection of company data, personal information, and AI technologies, while also contributing your expertise in AI and privacy policies to help safeguard our operations, maintain the trust of our stakeholders, and deliver competitive advantage. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive AI, global privacy and data governance strategies across the enterprise. Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and internal policies related to data management, AI adoption, and privacy protection. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate governance principles into business processes and technology solutions. Establish and maintain robust frameworks, policies, and procedures for data, AI, and privacy governance. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of governance practices, making recommendations for continuous improvement with a focus on delivering business value. Supervise and provide leadership and mentoring to a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of ethical governance, continuous learning, and innovation. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, to report on governance activities, risks, and mitigation plans. Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in data governance, AI governance, and privacy to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of industry standards.
