Northrop Grumman is seeking an in-house lawyer(s) to act as a Corporate Counsel(s) at our corporate headquarters located in Falls Church, Virginia. Specific responsibilities may include counseling on real estate matters associated with leases, real property acquisitions and dispositions, as well as coordinating with various legal specialists inside the company to support other matters (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, environmental, tax) impacting the business. Succeeding in this position requires excellent problem-solving skills, sound judgement, discretion, the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, and the highest standards of integrity and ethics. This position will be located in Falls Church, VA. This is an on-site role that does allow for teleworking/remote arrangements. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Juris Doctor degree with a minimum of 5 years experience Member of an appropriate state bar and/or ability maintain in-house licensure status in the work location Real Estate experience at a law firm, U.S. Government agency and/or in-house legal department. Ability to analyze complex legal concepts and communicate effectively internally and externally. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience supporting real estate matters and/or complex commercial transactions globally Expertise drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial leases and a wide range of other real estate activities including easements, access agreements, and restrictive covenants. Experience supporting economic development opportunities (e.g., tax and other credits) and property tax appeals for the company. Strong business acumen and ability to lead and/or contribute to a collaborative team environment.
