- Shift information: 8 am - 4:30pm (Monday - Friday)
- Team Dynamic: This Team has a total of 13 BJC licensed professionals that work on a combined Team called the St. Louis County Crisis Intervention Team which is a group of licensed clinicians and specially trained police officers.
- Location: St. Louis County Territory – working out in the communities with law enforcement (doing ride alongs with law enforcement)
- Ideal Skill Set: Provides quality customer service, Self-starter, Collaborative relationships, Conflict resolution, Able to work in a team setting and open mind to new ideas and complex approaches. Must be a fully or provisionally licensed mental health professional (LPC/PLPC or LCSW/LMSW)
- Job responsibilities: coordination of services for individuals with behavioral health needs who have come to the attention of the justice system through law enforcement, courts, and/or jail personnel. The individuals served have complex mental health and/or substance use needs that are either unmet or poorly coordinated. This role is a part of a person-centered integration team and works with local systems to coordinate care for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.
Overview
BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system. Â

The Community Behavioral Health Liaison is responsible for the coordination of services for individuals with behavioral health needs who have come to the attention of law enforcement officials, the courts and hospital emergency departments in the counties of the designated service area. Responsible for the development and improvement of access to services for those individuals with complex mental health needs.
