Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as the Principal Military Trainer. The location of this position is at Fort Leavenworth, KS. The Principal Military Trainer will collect and manage data pertaining to military warfighting function (WfF) (movement and maneuver, intelligence, fires, sustainment, mission command, and protection) procedures, decisions, and orders during computer assisted military training exercises for Army Brigades, Divisions, Corps, Army Service Component Command (ASCC), Joint Task Force (JTF) and Joint Force Land Component Command (JFLCC). Works closely with military WfF Chief; collects computer generated data, as well as Observer Controller/ Trainer observations, analyzes data and prepares visual products for After Action Reviews in coordination with military WfF counterparts. Develops and produces graphic products for exercise unit After Action Reviews. When required, assists in exercise design and scenario development. Assists in pre-exercise planning by participating in both Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and Army Exercise Life Cycle (ELC) events, providing experienced and relevant input. Assist in the development of exercise plans, coordinates internal and external resources, monitors planning progress and timelines, and prepares contract deliverables items. Maintains proficiency in the various simulations and models and AAR systems supporting Army training exercises. Maintains awareness and understanding of current and emerging Army doctrine for Army Brigades, Divisions, and Corps. Within one year of employment gains and maintains awareness and understanding of the NGSC Archiving and Enhanced Retrieval System (ARCHER); which includes the ARROW reports organizer, Ballista, a unit database management tool for the Crosshair Viewer and Crosshair, a unit database, map, graphics and reports plotting tool. For Analyst supporting Army Service Component Command (ASCC), Joint Task Force (JTF) and Joint Force Land Component Command (JFLCC) exercises maintains awareness and understanding in J4S N-US013-06 Joint Task Force Fundamentals Course (JTF-101) Modules 1 through 14, J6O P-US004 Global Command and Control System – Joint (GCCS-J) Course J3O P-MNO76 The Combined Joint Task Force, J3S T-MN069 Introduction to NATO Course, J3S T-US010 Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) Phase I Course. Gains and maintains proficiency in Joint Warfighting Function courses for WfF position occupied. Gains and maintains awareness and understanding of current and emerging Joint doctrine for ASCC, JTF and JFLCC organizations. Duties and Responsibilities: Required to have functional knowledge of the suite of ABCS systems to include: CPOF, CPCE, DCGS-A, GCCS-A, TIGR, JCR, TAIS, AMDWS, AFATDS, and DDS. Required to know and brief overall Army ABCS network structure as well as basic troubleshooting. Assists in maintaining best practices and configurations for ABCS systems. Responsible for staying current across all above systems and Army Doctrine. Successful candidate will receive training on the Warfighters’ Simulation (WARSIM), Virtual Three Dimension Map Visualization System (V3D), and ARCHER. Additional duties will involve tracking administrative training requirements and completion within Scenario Design Division.
