Overview:

The Corporate Regional Project Director of Capital Installation & Construction will oversee capital projects, including the installation of new rides and plant integrity projects, across a designated region. This position requires managing multiple projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This position will collaborate with various corporate and park-level stakeholders.


Responsibilities:
  • Planning the project objectives while adhering to the approved budget and timeline.
  • Leading the local resources for the execution of the project through regular meetings and communications with the local team.
  • Execution of the projects by supervising the local teams with frequent and open communications
  • Schedule management through diligent risk management and contingency planning
  • Budget management by efficiently tracking project cost against budget allocations and effective value engineering
  • Reporting of project cadence to planned schedule and opening schedules through Gantt Charts, Kanban boards, dashboards and reports.

Qualifications:

Project Management:

  • Oversee and manage capital projects as designated by the Corporate VP of Project Management – Capital Installation & Construction including the installation of new rides, and plant integrity initiatives, across multiple properties in the assigned region.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget.

 

Corporate Partnerships:

  • Collaborate with Corporate RSVP’s, VP of In Park Rev, Corporate VP of Maintenance and Engineering, park leadership, legal teams, and ride manufacturers to develop project budgets, proposals, negotiate scopes, and assemble Ride Purchase Agreements and approval documents.
  • Partner with procurement to leverage corporate pricing with ride manufacturers and vendors for parts, general supplies, services, and utilities, optimizing process procedures and timelines.

Plant Integrity Capital:

  • Work with Corporate VP of Maintenance & Engineering, VP of In Park Rev, and park leadership to evaluate and prioritize capital and EWO (Emergency Work Order) projects.
  • Assist in tracking project costs and ensuring budget adherence for approved projects.

 

Documentation Control Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the assembly, retention, and management of project documentation for new attractions.

 

Technical Systems Support Responsibilities:

  • Review new attraction documents and constructions items to help facilitate parks in the creation of enhanced and consistent maintenance schedules.

 

ESG Initiatives and Capital:

  • Participate in environmental committee initiatives for new construction projects.

Parks Maintenance and Engineering:

  • Build inter-park and corporate relationships to identify and implement best practices for new attraction budgeting, design, and installation processes.
  • Visit parks within your region to review and lead efforts to ensure best practices and standards compliance.
