Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Sanitation Assistant to join our team at Grand Canyon National Park in Grand Canyon, Arizona.

As a Sanitation Assistant, you will be responsible for performing custodial duties such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, restocking paper and soap supplies and keeping the property neat, clean, and free from clutter.

• Thoroughly cleans common areas and restrooms, replenishes supplies and maintains storage areas. 
• Performs walk-a-rounds of areas to ensure standards are met. 
• Empties wastebaskets and transports trash and waste to disposal area. 
• Works with department regarding maintenance issues and lost and found procedures. 
• Provides excellent customer service when approached by guests. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• No experience required, previous commercial cleaning and/or guest service experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools and fixtures.
• Ability to work quickly under pressure, follow directions. 
• Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations.

• Requires ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. 
• Frequent walking and standing for entire length of shift, climbing of stairs.
• Bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, grasping and carrying items. 
• Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing.
• Exposure to chemicals and solvents used to clean and sanitize.
