Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in Grand Junction, United States. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical staff in various healthcare settings.
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities and personal hygiene
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress
- Perform wound care and change dressings as needed
- Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans
- Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification in the state of Colorado
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Proficiency in monitoring and recording vital signs
- Experience in medication administration and wound care
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with patient mobility
- Basic computer skills for electronic health record management
- CPR certification
- Previous experience as an LPN preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
