Position Description
The Warehouse Lead ensures that all team members comply with GMPs, housekeeping, and when unsuccessful, report to management accordingly. Physically operate equipment; train new drivers, coordinates all activities, and ensure workloads are completed.
Essential Duties:
- Comply with food safety, food security, Quality, GMP’s, HAACP, Allergen, and Sensitizer as well as other regulations as required.
- Assist loaders as needed/requested - includes inbound and outbound loads.
- Verify all drop trailers are loaded on the correct specified trailers.
- Review master shipping schedule and coordinate all picks/workloads. Verify all shortages and notify proper personnel to determine status of shipment.
- Coordinate coverage for machine centers, loading, receiving, and other assignments to ensure all business objectives are met.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of the entire product loaded, to include the condition/quality of pallets within in the warehouse.
- Confer with management to determine progress of workload and to provide information on changes/methods needed.
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed (i.e. 916 report, inbound paperwork, forklift check sheets, trailer inventory, driver in/out sheet, etc.)
- Compile reports as requested by supervisors.
- Ensure raw materials are received timely and accurately and pre-counts are conducted for production needs. All shortages must be communicated to required departments.
- Provide feedback/input to management for performance evaluation on team members in respective areas.
- Maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness and organization of work area.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- One (1) to two (2) years of warehouse experience required. Forklift certification required.
- Strong leadership capabilities in a fast-paced production environment required.
- Previous experience in the food/beverage manufacturing industry preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, & Outlook) with the ability to learn new applications as required. SAP experience is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to continuously stand and/or walk for extended periods of time on concrete surface.
- Ability to repeatedly kneel, bend, crouch, climb and/or stoop throughout the shift as needed to successfully perform job duties.
- Successful completion of a post-offer drug screen and background check required.
