Job Summary: 

  • Receives, stores, and distributes materials used by facility, heavy usage of the OHCMS & Oracle systems required. 

Essential Functions:

  • Works independently and the expected results of this job are that items/materials requested by departments get delivered as soon as possible and the re-ordering of needed materials in the proper lead-time so the plant does not run out. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow Howmet’s Safety Regulations and Work Rules Handbook along with all departmental specific safety requirements.
  • Creates Receivers from incoming packing slips (raw materials including alloy).
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
  • Generates receiving paperwork.
  • Maintains quality control on raw materials.
  • Assures that inventory is accurate.
  • Communicates with departments on shipping requests.
  • Operates standard office equipment.
  • Must comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines; this includes, but is not limited to, regular attendance and occasional/needed overtime.
  • Other duties can be assigned when needed.

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Use of the OHCMS & Oracle systems preferred. 
  • Forklift license required.
  • Defensive Driving course required to drive company vehicles.
  • Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.  Creates reports and correspondence when needed. 
  • Able to work with both internal & external customers.
  • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Computes rate, ratio, and percentages. 
  • Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form. .

Education:

  • This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Forklift license required.
  • Must be able to provide documentation in the original form establishing both your identity and your employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items you must be able to lawfully obtain access to such items.

Experience:

  • This position requires a minimum of 12 months related experience and/or training.
