Leadership and Management Expertise:
- Proven experience leading and developing cross-functional teams is crucial. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of leadership/management experience in a relevant industry, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and foster a high-performing team culture.
- Must possess exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization, internally and externally, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Minimum of 5 years in leadership or management roles.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management, ideally in automation or related industries.
- 10+ years of experience in automation, controls, or engineering preferred.
- Experience with SCADA, HMI, PLC, motion control, networking, and industrial safety systems.
- Knowledge of NEC, UL, and regional/international code requirements is highly desired.
- Familiarity with industry-standard technologies like Rockwell, Siemens, and Ignition.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in implementing strategic initiatives that drive operational efficiency and growth.
- Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and operational planning.
- Proficient in creating sales and marketing strategies for automation offerings.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical aptitude, with hands-on knowledge of CAD, PLC controls, and computerized control systems.
- Enhance Operational Efficiency Across Automation Divisions
Within the first 12 months, assess current processes in the design engineering, customer service, CAD, and panel shop functions. Implement streamlined standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive efficiency, reducing downtime and operational bottlenecks by at least 15%. - Drive Talent Development and Team Performance
Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the automation team within the first 6 months. Develop and execute a tailored talent development plan to enhance team productivity and retention, ensuring a minimum of 10% improvement in key performance metrics and increasing employee satisfaction through professional growth initiatives. - Deliver Projects on Time and Within Budget
Oversee the automation portfolio to ensure consistent delivery of projects with at least 95% on-time completion and within the agreed budget and scope. Use KPIs to monitor quality, schedule adherence, and labor productivity, actively mitigating risks and resolving issues to maintain client satisfaction and profitability. - Develop and Execute Automation Sales Strategy
Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to create a market-relevant sales and marketing strategy that enhances the automation division’s market presence. Within 12 months, contribute to a 20% increase in sales growth by introducing new technology offerings and expanding relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and vendors. - Foster a Culture of Collaboration
Establish strong working relationships with other divisions and external partners to promote cross-functional collaboration. Act as the primary point of contact for automation projects, ensuring alignment between divisions and driving a unified approach to achieving company goals of safety, quality, and profitability. - Lead Strategic Planning and Budgeting
Lead the annual operational planning and budgeting for the automation division. Within 9 months, deliver a comprehensive strategy that aligns with company goals, ensuring that automation operations contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the business. - Enhance Automation Technology Offerings
Identify and implement cutting-edge automation technologies and services that align with market trends. Over the next 12 months, lead the integration of new technologies that enhance the company’s competitive edge, targeting a 10% increase in efficiency across automation processes.
