Job Description

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for Senior Equipment & Tool Engineers to join our team in Hazelwood, MO.

This position is within the Phantom Works organization underneath the Boeing Defense and Space umbrella, where you will be supporting exciting new endeavors.  Join our integrated product team and work to provide tooling solutions to solve challenging and complex engineering problems.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Level 4 and 5 Senior Equipment & Tool Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Advise programs on the application of highly complex equipment and tooling solutions that enable programs to meet Production System requirements

  • Assess technical data and influences product engineering design to optimize production system integration for aerospace products

  • Oversee the creation and modification of equipment and tooling definition at the business unit level

  • Lead the execution of project plans and influences Make/Buy decisions

  • Develop methodologies for and approves highly complex analysis

  • Develop requirements for safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability and ergonomic factors

  • Consult with management regarding gated reviews and assesses production readiness

  • Evaluate robotics, automation or technology insertion opportunities and provides solutions for emergent technical issues of significance across the global production system

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • (Level 4) 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 7+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or 4+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD

  • (Level 5) 14+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 12+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD

  • 3+ years of experience with Tool Engineering

Summary pay range (Level 4): $110,500 - $149,500
