Part Time

Shift: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm, Monday and/or Friday, depending on FTE 

Position Summary:

The Infusion Center RN delivers patient-focused, family-centered care by following the nursing process: assessing health status, planning care, implementing treatment, and evaluating outcomes. Working primarily in an Outpatient Infusion Center, the RN provides direct care to patients of all ages, demonstrating compassion, initiative, and flexibility with minimal supervision.

 

Responsibilities include prioritizing care based on physical and psychosocial needs, collaborating with physicians, pharmacy staff, and the medical director, and providing medication education to patients and families. The RN will also serve as a mentor to less experienced nurses as needed. Comprehensive knowledge of infusion medications, administration methods, drug properties, and safe handling practices is essential. The RN is expected to utilize critical thinking skills to respond promptly to changes in patient condition, conduct lab draws, therapeutic phlebotomies, handle various vascular access devices, chart in electronic medical records, verify insurance preauthorizations, and manage scheduling.

 

Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program 

License/Certification: Current Montana RN license and BLS certification; ongoing education and competency evaluations as required 

Skills: Strong organizational, emotional, and cognitive skills for managing multiple tasks and stressful situations; effective interpersonal and communication skills; adaptability and openness to feedback
